Flights
Toulon-Hyeres Airport is a short 20 minutes drive from the house – from the UK there are direct flights from London’s Stansted Airport via RyanAir until end of October. Car Hire is available with the usual large brands such as Hertz and Europcar from the airport – all bookable online.
Nice and Marseilles airports are both roughly 100 minutes and 90 minutes away respectively by car. There is an excellent pre-bookable online shuttle bus from Marseilles MP2 to Marseilles Train Station, then a good service to Toulon and Hyeres, where taxis or Car Hire is also available. BA, EasyJet, Ryanair and Aer Lingus are all operating cheap fares from UK airports.
Also in 2011 sees Ryanair flights from Liverpool to Toulon-Hyeres… and Paris (Orly) has up to 6 Air France flights a day to Toulon-Hyeres Airport and this flight takes about 60 minutes. Flights to Orly from London City Airport link up also to Toulon
Rail travel from the UK via Lille and Toulon are also good alternatives to flying – especially during air traffic controller strikes…look online or contact SNCF.
