Outside The Villa
Your stay at the Villa Mathilde merely begins with the indoor facilities.
Combine the stunning views of the vineyards and the coast & islands with our extensive terraces and you have every opportunity for relaxing, chatting and sunbathing.
Where to look next? You’ll find stunning uninterrupted views all around you … over the hills and forest woodland to the west - perfect for quietly watching the sun as it sets at the end of an unforgettable day.
The Pool House
The nearby pool house has a large marble-lined shower, wash basin, changing area, separate WC and washing machine/dryer room for your towels.
Our terraces and gardens are designed to merge with the hillside. This is enhanced by inspired landscaping. Cacti and other plants from around the world thrive here in our rich hillside soil. Lights have been installed throughout the gardens of the property to enhance the lovely flora and fauna.
The middle terrace extends the full length of the property, creating various spaces for outdoor seating. You’ll find an inviting Gloster outdoor sofa and armchairs and eight really comfortable Gloster sunloungers, plus an outdoor dining table for up to 10…and large umbrellas to move to where you need to have some shade. And then there is the generous teak deck surrounding our 12m x 4m infinity pool. An ideal place to relax quietly, view the house and surrounding hills and valley below, whilst savouring the cool gentle afternoon breezes.
Hungry? Stay outdoors while you fix a meal on our large, gas-fired BBQ.
Returning to the practical, you’ll be glad that our property is on a private gated domaine – it is both safe and secure. Access to the property is via electrically operated gates with garage parking for two cars at the bottom of the drive – there are plenty of spaces for parking at street level on this quiet access road.
