Saturday May 10th 2008…Anthony Peregrine wrote on Saturday in the Daily Telegraph a comment on the ‘over development’ of the Cote D’Azur in “An insider’s guide to France“……..”let me direct you to the Corniche des Maures around Bormes les Mimosas and best of all to take the ferry to the Isles D’Or off Hyeres – Porquerolles and Port Cros. Here is the Riviera before it became the Riviera!”
Our latest guest, Pat Schafer from Sydney Australia commented on the telephone just last evening – “This is such a beautiful house – the photographs on the website simply do not do it justice – it’s awesome”
We have had homes in this area for over 20 years and have loved every minute of this time – which is why we paid a king’s ransom for a piece of hillside overlooking these magical Islands and built our luxury retreat. As they say – you can’t put a value on a view like that!

Hello Ian and Gillian – we recently (May 2008) spent 2 weeks at your wonderful villa – it was totally fabulous – better than your web site photos – particularly the view of the Mediterranean. We were on our own the first week then were joined by my mother and 2 sisters the second week. They were amazed with the villa. There was more than enough space for everyone. We all enjoyed the indoor/outdoor living – every room opens onto a patio – all with wonderful views. The infinity pool and the main terrace are the perfect setting for long summer dinners. Before staying here we did not know the area very well but were pleased with how easy it was to make day (or half day) trips to the more famous spots on the Riviera. The small local towns are also delightful with many excellent restaurants. Thanks as well to Alan and Pauline, your local managers, they were very friendly and helpful. While it’s a long way from Australia – we hope to come back again.
