Ian, I just wanted to write and say how much we all enjoyed staying at your home in the South of France.
We all loved Alan, but I’m not sure if he knew what hit him when a whole bunch of giggling girlies (ok, we’re supposed to be mature women) arrived at the house. He was incredibly helpful and charming and ran through all of the instructions which made life so much easier for our week’s enjoyment.
It was the perfect retreat for all of us to celebrate my friend’s 50th Birthday. Although we did venture off to La Londe for provisions, your house was like a magnet which kept us fixed on the terrace all day. Even the lure of St Tropez couldn’t drag us away.
You might like to add our amazing lunch experience to your list of things ‘to do’? We booked all of this before we left London, but it was a fabulous experience – a private water taxi from the port at La Londe took us on a 15 minute ride over to Porquerolles where we took a short walk to La Mas for lunch and were then whisked back to La Londe by water taxi again. While on the subject of food – we have to say that your recommended restaurant in La Londe was superb. A short menu, but the food was exquisite, and the lady proprietor so helpful and charming.
